Difference between "natural" and "Organic" products
"Natural" products that have no control, so all businesses can name their products "natural" if they have any ingredients that come from the earth. Natural products extends from some pretty good company trying to do the right thing to hundreds of personal care companies that only use the term "natural" for marketing purposes.
But "organic" goes far beyond "natural". If a product is labeled organic on the front of the package and sold in California (and soon Colorado), which has extremely high organic regulations, so that the products may contain USDA certified organic ingredients from a farm that uses a system of farming that maintains and fills on soil fertility without the use of toxic and persistent pesticides or fertilizers.
Be wary of some of the products that contain the word organic in the label:
In the U.S., the product name containing organic or some cute form of organic (such as "Organicy") and have little or no organic ingredients. The product name is exempt from all rules and many companies are using this loophole to falsely advertise their products as organic.
